(一本书从书架上掉了下来。) 标准的说法 【美】 、 【英】 均为: A book fell off [from] the shelf. ii)off from与from off在 【美】 往往不认为合于标准,而在 【英】 要比 【美】 用得多,特别是在 【古】 、 【诗】 或 【鄙】 ,但也不认为是标准的说法,不管在何种情形,标准的说法应以away from, down from代之。 因此, The vase dropped off from the mantelpiece. 的说法不如 The vase dropped (down) from the mantelpiece.
